Your privacy is taken very seriously at ReliaBid and we provide this notice to explain our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This Notice is limited to U.S. residents.

ReliaBid, Inc. is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program. TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to build user's trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. This privacy statement covers the site www.reliabid.com (the "Website"). Because the Website wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe.

What We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Website. On the Website you can register to utilize the ReliaBid Seal (the "Seal") in your auction sales. In doing so, you will be asked to register to sign up for the use of the Seal and submit information about you and the persons and entities who are your customers. The types of information collected at these pages are:

Name
Address
Email address
Phone number
Credit/Debit Card Information
Your Customers' names and addresses
Your Customers' transaction information
The username for your online auctions
Public eBay information associated with your account, including your past and current auctions.

 

Your Online Auction Account Information

We do not collect and store your password for your online auctions. This includes your password for eBay and any other online auction site. You will be asked to enter this information, but your entry will be directly on the site of the online auction service provider. They will pass ReliaBid back information authenticating you. At no time will ReliaBid learn, receive or store your password.

Your ReliaBid Password

You are the only person that should ever know your password to ReliaBid. You may not disclose it to anyone else. At no time will a member of the ReliaBid staff or anyone associated with ReliaBid ever ask you for your password. The only entity that knows your password is the ReliaBid system. Your password in the ReliaBid system has been encrypted, and employees of ReliaBid cannot access it. Should you ever forget your password, ReliaBid can reset it, but will not be able to access a current or past password. Do not ever share your password with anyone. Please report anyone asking for your ReliaBid password to ReliaBid immediately. If you ever think or know that your password is known to another, you should log onto ReliaBid and change your password immediately. It is your responsibility to ensure that your password is not ever disclosed to a third party.

How We Use the Collected Information

The information you provide will be used only for the intended purposes of the ReliaBid service. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the intended purposes for which you provided the information. This will include forwarding the information to any collection agency you retain via the site.

In order to use this web site, you must first complete the registration forms, including creation of a username and password. During registration, you are asked to provide us with contact information (such as name, physical address, phone number and email address). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. You are also required to provide billing information (such as credit card number and billing address) during the registration process. We use this information to automatically bill you every month for the service(s) you use.

We collect information about your auctions, and about the bidders in your auctions. We use this information to provide you with the service(s) for which you subscibe. In the event of a collection, we share specific information with the collection agency you retain, in order to provide you with our easy click-through service. This is only done when initiated by you, through our website, and only information related to a specific auction is then shared.

We also use your email address in order to communicate with you and such address will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with any outside parties except to the extent required to complete the intended purposes for which you provided the email address. We may, from time to time, need to send you confirmation emails and critical service updates and will do so via your email address. Because of the critical nature of these emails, it is not possible to opt out.

We do not sell or rent your information.

Referrals

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend up to one email inviting him or her to visit the site. ReliaBid stores this information for the sole purpose of sending these emails and tracking the success of our referral program.

Your friend may contact us at customerservice@reliabid.com to request that we remove this information from our database.

Testimonials / Share Your Story

We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer's name or eBay User ID. You may, at your complete discretion, submit such a testimonial through the Website by submiting a "Share Your Story" form. By submitting a testimonial with your name, you give consent for ReliaBid to post the testimonial along with your name, on the Website or in printed marketing collateral, in a manner of our choosing. You are not required to ever submit a testimonial, and doing so is completely optional.

Sharing

ReliaBid works closely with certain third parties who perform services on our behalf, including but not limited to performing collections on your behalf, providing promotional materials to our users, sending e-mail, processing credit card payments or managing data. Such third parties have access to your personal data only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and may not use or disclose it for any other purpose. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

Data Security

Appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures have been implemented in order to secure the information collected from unauthorized access and to insure data accuracy and the correct use of information. When you share information that includes billing information (eg. credit card numbers) Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software protects that information. Although we use security to protect your information, we cannot guarantee that your information will stay private should a third party unlawfully gain access to your information or intercept information. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as flawless security, though we do have measures in place to protect your information.

Correction of Your Information

You can always access your information by logging into www.reliabid.com and editing your personal information. There, you can correct any factual errors in your information.

Cookies

Cookies are small bits of information that are stored on a user's computer. These bits of information help improve the user experience at ReliaBid and are necessary for you to log in. We do not use cookies to track your visits outside of ReliaBid. We only use cookies for technical issues related to you logging in and out of ReliaBid and to track how you use our site. Cookies that track how you use our site are not personally identifiable and help us improve our service to all our clients. Many users turn cookies on in their web browser. However, if you choose not to turn them on, ReliaBid's Website may not function properly for you, including, but not limited to impairing your ability to log in or stay logged in.

Some of our business partners or third-party service providers use cookies on our site. We have no access to or control over these cookies.This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by ReliaBid on www.relaibid.com only and does not cover the use of cookies by any other party.

Domain Names

We may track what domain or IP address you are coming from. This information is used only in aggregate to track usage of our site and does not personally identify you. We will log IP addresses of only those visitors that are flagged for security reasons. This information will only be used for security purposes.

Children

ReliaBid is a service reserved ONLY for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not seek to collect information from anyone under the age of 18 and ReliaBid expressly prohibits users under 18 from using our Website, even with parental permission.

Other Sites

This policy covers only the ReliaBid website. We may provide links to other, external sites. Each external site has its own privacy policy and you should not assume that they are covered or similar to the ReliaBid privacy policy. You should be aware of what website you are browsing and what privacy policy it is governed by.

Consent

By using our website, you consent to the statements made in this policy, to the extent allowable by state, local and federal law. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
